you are right. and we are forgotten. Too young for the Nam/Woodstock/Nixon thing….and too old for the angsty latchkey kid wanting to kill themselves listening to Nirvana because their mom left their dad to go put a skirt and heels on to have an affair with an older business man and call it freedom and feminism.
We were that sliver that went from disco to van halen in two summers; we watched star trek in reruns and started that whole Stars thing; without us, a band like Rush would have never made it as they do not appeal to GenX nor Boomers for the most part. But you and I can just pretend we don't exist, like the rest of the media, etc. do.
