Bernie Sanders claims victory, 4 delegates in Northern Marianas caucus
It may not herald a comeback, but he’ll take it.
Bernie Sanders scored a decisive victory in Saturday’s Democratic Party caucuses in the Northern Mariana Islands, a remote US territory in the Pacific Ocean.
The Vermont senator snagged four delegates to front-runner Joe Biden’s two.
But turnout was tiny — only 134 of the archipelago’s 53,000 residents came out to vote.
It was Sanders’s best delegate day since Feb. 22, when he notched a commanding win in Nevada’s caucuses.
