The way the shadows are cast here makes it look like the sun is some kind of projection whose location in the sky depends on your location. Far from the pole the location appears fixed, but in this picture apparently at the South Pole the location doesn't look fixed at all.

That's not what the shadows at the south pole are doing. Those sun rays still look like they're coming from a single point, the south pole rays look like they're all coming from separate points.
