If they are silently removed from power and can no longer do harm. At this point i'd be ok with that. If they can't even let the public know noname was a trader, you think they're going to tell everyone the darker details?
Some people will never be able to handle that. That their whole world and everything they believe is a fake. You'd end up with massive riots, revolutions and potential uncontrollable worldwide chaos. If you game this all out, it's not ideal but it really is the only way.
You can't expect emotion driven people to react rationally. You don't need to look much further than the run on toilet paper to know why you can' t tell the world the whole truth.
