so children are not at risk of the the virus if they show up for lunch but are at risk if sitting at their desks learning. Sure all the kids will stay home and inside during the closure.
At least in Illinois the virus does not come out late at night to attack people like in Hoboken NJ.
Would make far more sense to mobilize state and local government employees who know their own neighborhhoods and can check on homes to ensure they are well and have basic services. Many government employees have some form of ID. Government employees will be paid so allow them to earn it.
Most of the military is not trained healthcare professionals and would not know the indidual communities. Also would create further panic to have armed people roaming the streets and knocking on doors. The military would be best used training in securing the perimeters - our Nation's borders. That is natiional defense.
