School lunches are ridiculous.
If parents are so poor that their kids need a free lunch at school, then those same parents should already be getting food stamps, or whatever they are called now. A LINK card, I think. Parents should feed their own kids.
I used to work in a school cafeteria and a lot of the kids who get a free lunch have plenty of money to buy other stuff. Not only that, most people would be surprised to see how much of the free food that kids get, ends up in the garbage.
