Martha Hall, the lead person in charge of the case against the Amish, is pushing hard to destroy this whole Amish community if they don't comply with her codes and regulations, which don't apply to the Amish. She claims she will bulldoze all 15 homes down, and will not let them build back unless they violate their religious convictions and comply by spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. Mrs. Hall wants the Amish to install unnecessary septic systems, change all water wells to modern electric pumps instead of hand pumps, there will be no more permits issued for new water wells unless these modern electric pumps replace the hand pumps, and put indoor plumbing in all homes instead of the outhouses that they currently use.
The county has posted on every home a notice that condemned all 15 homes as unfit to live in. This affects over 25 adult defendants, both husbands and wives whose names have been listed on court records.

OKC anon here. School was closed on Friday, yes, but this coming week is Spring Break, school was going to be closed anyway. They are using the week to "deep clean". So far plan is to open back up like "normal" the following week , so far

Kek boomer anon here. My dad (RIP) was in the Air Force back in the day. One of his jobs was to show all the new guys is basic training the "hygiene" films about VD, etc. Every session before he ran the film, he would go to the front and ask if there were any new recruits from Toledo Ohio ( our home town) If there was, he would order them to go with him, in which case he would take the guy outside to the side of the building where he had a couple beers waiting while the film showed to the rest inside. What a guy. o7
