Well, I have a theory about artists that have died way too soon. Goes like this:

1. Have talent, get a deal.

2. Get access to drugs/girls; your choice.

3. SRV had a bout with drugs, but continued performing for love of music.

4. Cleans up act, climbs the charts; even gets a MTV spot (unplugged), and a music vid with Stevie Wonder.

5. Gets one last huge concert in, goes to fly to next.

6. Dies.

My theory is, he refused to get "initiated" into the club, meaning, he refused to do kiddie stuff to climb higher. Then, he ended up dead.
