Small business anon here. Really disappointed nothing happening with payroll tax cut. I have 4 employees. That would have saved me $16k a year. Instead I am looking at laying off one of them. Do not want any SBA loans, I've had them, I am not interested in borrowing money to keep employees on. Been there, done that. Pretty pissed off about this right now. Crazy how quickly things change.

I have patience. The problem is people are panicked so they are holding off on spending right now. I'm in a state that is about to close restaurants and bars. Patience doesn't put money in a small businesses bank account to keep payroll funded. It's sad, but it's reality. Luckily I'm not in that industry, but was talking to a client the other day who is. He was already prepared to send most of his staff home and set up to do deliveries and takeout only.

Thanks anon. I believe that, I'll give it till the end of the week before I do any layoffs. I did go to church today to pray and haven't been in at least a year, but funny thing is it just made me more angry. The priest started out talking about donations and how just because attendance is down, doesn't mean the bills don't stop and to make sure you donate online and he was sure we'd meet the goal of $50,000 for the parish and it just was a bad way to start the service and to start the day. I just kept thinking, what about the parishioner's income dwindling due to the hysteria? What about their bills? Why focus on that in the sermon? It was pretty bad.

Do you have an IGA near you? We have a few in our area and all have been fully stocked, no barren shelves compared to big chain stores. They have different supply chains than the big chain stores.
