According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the unnamed man allegedly entered the Walmart Saturday night wearing the alarming outfit.
Upon entry, the man reportedly began spraying items at what seemed to be random. He then left the Walmart, but was tailed by a shopper, who called police and reported the man's license plate.
KTNV-TV reported that Walmart evacuated the store following the occurrence.
Officer Aden OcampoGomez, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department, said that at least 13 people came into contact with the unknown substance. The spokesperson noted that no one was injured or exhibited any odd symptoms in connection with the bizarre happening.
The department also said authorities are working to identify the substance, but have not yet divulged the charges the man could be facing.
OcampoGomez added, "We are very thankful to the individuals who were able to see something and say something. It was because of them that we have [a] suspect in custody."
