>So an ionic zinc supplement should work

Not correct.

Not if you take nothing more than zinc.

You only need to be sufficient in zinc (not deficient).

What is in the average bottle of vitamins is probably sufficient to destroy any deficiencies.

But you need an ionopore to take with the zinc. Here is why, according to the research thus far, purely on paper. No clinical trials yet. (in theory it should work tho)

Zn++ is not normally allowed into the human cells where the virus uses the machinery of the cell to replicate it's RNA

(It has no DNA - virus is RNA only. But the viruses inject their RNA into the human cell using those spikes you see on the outside of the virus.)

Once the Viral RNA is injected into the cell, the machinery in the cell can not tell the difference between the virus RNA and the Human RNA, so the virus basically hijacks the human machines that usually replicate human RNA to replicate itself in the cell.

The Zinc can mess up that replication process. That is why it is not allowed into the cell no matter how much you take. It is highly controlled.

The zinc needs to be "allowed" into the human cell to get to that process going on inside. Only an ionopore can "allow it"

An Ionopore is a molecule that excorts the zinc across the human cell membrane into the cell.

Chloroquine

Hydroxychloroquine

these are old well known medicines being prepped for research as ionopore "escorts"

In an unrelated piece of research we find that EGCG, CQ10, and Quercitin are also Zinc ionopores. They were not testing these on the Covid-19. However, the above three are studied as zinc ionopores in their own right.

So you need zinc, and an ionopore. Taking lots of zinc will not do anything but make you pee lots of zinc without the ionopore.
