Type RH- are missing a protective protein covering on their blood cells, as a result RH- people have more antibodies naturally in their blood to offset this vulnerability. Hence why plasmapheresis facilities want RH- people to sign up to study their blood to see if they have anything interesting or unkown in their blood.

That's AB+

AB-negative blood can receive red blood cells from donors with any other Rh negative blood type โ€” only 0.5% of Canadians share this blood type.

Donors who are AB-negative are the universal platelet and plasma donors because these blood components can be transfused to any patient.
