Anyone else heard of this sort of thing?…

Claims of an experience where one sees and comprehends what they believe to be the entire universe in a flash from God and immediately and fully turns completely away from an evil life and lives for God from thereafter?

Ran into someone with that story 20 years back and it still fascinates me.
