I'm as guilty as most in that regard.

When I've looked at "subject specific" threads, I do think the quality has been higher, with fewer shills.

Recently I've thought that an "archive offline" dedicated thread might be nice, just to give tips and sort out strategies.

Back at ya, good idea.

I might actually do that.

Once you dig into the nuances of archiving, I find it rather interesting. Not just "point and click" by any means. I often get caught up on other Q angles, but archiving is interesting and important stuff.

I think the thing with coding is just to dive in. You won't become an expert any time soon, but grasping crucial stuff is easier than it seems. I've basically been an interested amateur for decades, and maybe that's all I'll ever be, but I find it worthwhile knowing some of that stuff.

One problem with qanon.news archives is that the media links link to 8kun. If a media file is no longer available on the 8kun server, it is no longer available on the archives there. And so far as I can tell, the media files are deleted if they are not linked in a bread that is on the catalog. I think that is right, could be wrong.

One problem with qresear.ch is that it does not search media filenames, which often have crucial info.

No disrespect to anyone working on this stuff, but I think we should always strive to improve.
