Was thinking along the same lines. What if in order to get the virus you have to have certain properties from using Adrenochrome, it must leave something behind, opioids stay in the system a long time as well, maybe the same for Adrenochrome. Not sure exactly but remember there were drawbacks to using it, maybe the virus was designed to interact with leftover artifacts from adrenochrome use……just a theory of course no sauce.
