Oh yeah! Derp, we implemented that in one of our facilities…
Ours were upgraded to RFID versions, I could walk into the room, scan that barcode, then once the list showed up, just pull the trigger and the scanner would identify all assets in the room w/in seconds.
It would highlight green if it was present, red if it was ID'd but not supposed to be in the room and would not highlight if it was missing.
During my time, the only thing I ever found was people swapping the monitors w/out asking. Or people intentionally switching tags just to irritate account holders.
