Personal experience with Oprah…. I grew up around Rockdale County, Georgia. If you don’t know Oprah filmed a documentary there or had the documentary aired on her show. Something. It’s called The Lost Children of Rockdale County.
The documentary is about a syphilis outbreak in Rockdale amongst the youth. I was part of this generation. We were essentially blocked from ever viewing anything about this in schools, etc. it was almost a rumor.
So, the weird part is.. Oprah bought a neighborhood in Rockdale. She then abandoned it. If yo google 1608 Golden Ct SW Conyers GA you should find that address is one Oprah purchased for her mother.
Why would she move her mom into a house where she filmed a syphilis documentary? I don’t know how this relates to much directly.. other than it may help someone dig and the knowledge that it’s close to our families whether we think so or not.
Our community thought Oprah was there to help. Now the abandoned neighborhood is used for kids as a speedway of sorts. The driveway is retarded so if you speed up you can get airborne. Here is screen shot of donuts kids do before zooming down to abandoned house
