Work visas like free trade should be reciprocal.
“How many visas has your country issued to Americans at this salary level?”
“Okay zero, thanks. Then that is how many work visas we will issue time you at that salary level.”
That’s a fair, reciprocal method.
The current system is just raiding the middle class jobs and giving them to Indians and Chinese who receive free educations and have no student debt. So they can work for a lot less.
And are desperate to live somewhere with indoor plumbing and laws.
