love this one
Speaking of planes…not trying to derail the planefags info or discussion, but I need to share something that might be of interest before it goes completely from my oldfag grey-matter (just for the record)…here goes (for posterity)…
Ya know…this reminds me of something concerning that 'day (911)'. You know how well you can plan for something, but there is always some little thing that slips past all your hard work? Well it is one of those. During all the chaos: buildings going down, EMT's dying, planes crashing, ya know the drill. One little thing caught my attention.
A small(ish) reporter/or person went to/or was already at one of the airports, where one of the planes that hit the towers "was scheduled" to land that day. There was this guy and older man (greying hair) who worked for the airport. And his job was to "log in" all scheduled flights landing.
It was really soon after the planes hit, and he busy about his work didn't seem informed about what tragedy had just occurred. This reporter/person asked him about the plane that was supposed to have arrived full of passengers, to that airport, and what he thought about this horrific tragedy. He honestly, really looked stumped about the question. When told by the reporter/or person what had just minutes before happened, he said (to the effect), "I don't understand what you are telling me, because that plane arrived here right on schedule" and all passengers disembarked. It is my job you see, to log all incoming planes. See, (he showed the (person) his clipboard)…here is the flight arriving right on schedule. It taxied in as usual and I logged the flight number and its tail number, time it arrived, as well as where it cam from, and it was on time. As a matter of fact I noticed that it did not taxi to the expected area to disembark its passengers, but went to a different (out of the way) location (he stated where,) and I watched all the passengers get off. The odd thing for me was, a number of black buses were there seemingly waiting for those passengers. They got off the plane and onto those buses and the buses left. There was no baggage transfer that I saw. The plane taxied to a stop, a small ramp was rolled out, the passengers got off and went straight onto three black buses that were there waiting, and then immediately left the tarmac. I do not know where the buses went nor who the passengers were. So if you are saying this plane has crashed, I just don't understand, because I saw it land, taxi in, passengers dissembark, and load onto busses.
End of info that I can recall from memory. I believe it was tail # 223 that they were discussing.
This conversation has never left me since (the person videoed it), and NO authority or person of ranking inquiry EVER spoke to that guy about that day and what he saw by doing his job…NO ONE.
That is all.
so would I again, but it was years ago…good luck trying to find it now. I had the impression (still have), that the one with the video was just a normi and not a "reporter" for any rag. That is why to me it was so stunning.
ty…then my memory is not yet total shit…lol
here…I reformatted it…enjoy
