Unknown. Lots of theories floating around and yet the chemtrailling continued after Trump became our POTUS. I continue to believe it has some kind of a military purpose but I was always thinking it was some kind of electromagnetic shielding or a 'bounce layer' to facilitate over-the-horizon radar or something of that nature.
