We are in the period of grace. We will be in that period until all those who God appointed before the foundations of the world are saved from the wrath that awaits those who have rejected Christ. Believe it or not, like it or not, if you do not come to God through Christ, the ONLY way to the One True God, you will perish and be cast into hell along with satan and all of the other false gods. There are NOT many ways to be united with God. There's only One - The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Sorry if you don't like that. You don't have to. You won't anyway unless God draws you. This is the Truth. Accept it or deny it. You will face the consequences either way. May God's grace come to you in its fullest measure!

No. They were awaiting Him in the "bossom of Abraham". When He died, He went there to share the Gospel with them and then set them free to ascend to heaven.
Right where H'es always been…watching and noting. He has been gracious not to wipe us ALL out. His patience is long but it does have an end. Those that commit such atrocities will not go unscathed and the victims will be comforted and rewarded as God see's fit. He is Just and His Justice shall be served.
