Russian businessman seeks criminal proceedings against Obama over unlawful prosecution

Yevgeny Prigozhin demands either to continue the trial or remove charges from his company due to lack of guilt and corpus delicti

MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin demanded that criminal proceedings be initiated against former US President Barack Obama, as well as a number of US congressmen, senators and officials because of the illegal prosecution of his Concord company and him personally.

The businessman’s letter to US Attorney General William Barr was published by the Concord Press Service on Thursday.

"By this letter, I demand that a criminal case be initiated against a group of individuals, including former US President Barack Obama, senior officials from the US Department of Justice, members of the US Congress and Senate, who, by entering into collision, taking illegal actions, falsifying documents and evidence managed to institute "the United States against Concord" criminal proceedings to defame Concord, me personally, and the Russian Federation," Prigozhin said in a letter.

In another letter addressed to Barr, the businessman demands that the case against Concord, which was terminated on Wednesday, be returned to the court.

According to him, the trial was terminated at the request of the prosecutor’s office because the prosecution fears "to present false evidence in open jury, on the basis of which a criminal case against Concord was framed and considered for more than two years."

Prigozhin demands either to continue the trial or remove charges from his company due to lack of guilt and corpus delicti.

Earlier the the businessman said that he was preparing a $50 billion lawsuit against the US authorities.

In February 2018, the U.S. Department of Justice indicted 13 Russian citizens and three law firms for interfering in the 2016 US presidential election. According to the prosecution, Prigozhin’s companies funded the St. Petersburg Internet Research Agency, which tried to support Donald Trump. On March 16, 2020, the Washington federal court upheld the prosecutor's motion to terminate the process. Russian authorities have repeatedly rejected allegations of attempts to influence the course of US elections.

Prince of Monaco Albert II infected with coronavirus

The Prince's health condition causes no concerns, according to a statement from his office

PARIS, March 19. /TASS/. Prince of Monaco Albert II is infected with the novel coronavirus, but his health condition causes no concerns, the Prince’s office said in a statement Thursday.

"Prince Albert II’s coronavirus test was positive," the statement reads. "His medical state causes no concerns."

The statement also points out that the Prince’s personal doctor and specialists from Princess Grace Hospital Center watch over his health.

According to the statement, Prince Albert continues to work from his apartments.

"He remains in constant contact with employees of the Cabinet, with the government and his closes aides," the palace added.

The statement underscores that the Prince calls on his subjects to comply with the restrictive measures introduced by the government and to limit their contacts.

The ongoing coronavirus outbreak was registered in central China in late December 2019. On March 11, the World Health Organization declared it a pandemic. COVID-19 infection cases have been recorded in more than 170 countries. According to the latest data, over 220,000 people have contracted the virus; about 8,900 of them have died. A total of 199 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Russia as yet.

Mnuchin confirms plan for $1,000 cash payments to all Americans

The White House's coronavirus stimulus plan could see every American get two $1,000 checks from the government within nine weeks, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said Thursday.

"This is an unprecedented situation, where for good reason the government has instructed major parts of the economy to close down so that we can win this fight against this virus," he said in an appearance on Fox Business.

"While we're doing that, we understand there are impacts on hard-working Americans, and the president is determined to support them," he added.

The $1 trillion package the White House and Senate Republicans plan on presenting would provide every adult American with a $1,000 check, plus another $500 for each child. A family with two parents and two children, for example, would get $3,000.

"As soon as Congress passes this we'd get this out in three weeks, and then six weeks later, if the president still has a national emergency, we'll deliver another $3,000," Mnuchin said. Earlier in the week, Mnuchin had pointed to a two-week target to send out cash payments.

That portion would amount to half of the bill's overall spending.

Another $300 billion in the bill would be used to help businesses keep people on payroll and offer loan forgiveness for those that do after the crisis ends.

Already, unemployment claims have shot up by some 33 percent between the first two weeks of March.

A final $200 billion would be devoted to securing lending to airlines and other critical industries hit hard by the pandemic.

The bill would be the third, and largest, in the government's response to coronavirus. The first $8.3 billion law focused on health agencies and first responders, while the second, which Trump signed Wednesday, put roughly $104 billion toward emergency paid leave, free coronavirus testing and expanded unemployment insurance.

Iraq-Syrian border liberated! U.S military evacuates military bases in Iraq

BAGHDAD – US forces stationed in Iraq to aid ISIS and overthrow the Syrian government, said Tuesday that it had transferred the al-Qa’im military base on the border with Syria to Iraq and transferred responsibility for the base to the Iraqi military.

According to the Iranian news site Pars Today, the forces of the international coalition said they had withdrawn their troops from the al-Qa’im military base on the border of Iraq and Syria, located in the west of Al-Anbar province, and transferred responsibility for the maintenance and control of the base to the Iraqi military.

This comes after several decades-long occupation, where the US’ stated reasons for being in the region has gone through multiple transformations. Following the defeat of the US strategy to remove Assad under the pretext of fighting the very same ISIS which in fact they were supporting, despite that Assad was leading the fight against ISIS, the US’s ability to maintain a foothold in the ravaged region has deteriorated.

According to this report, the US Army, in addition to the al-Qa’im base, has turned down two more military bases in Iraq.

The US decision to curtail three of the eight military bases in Iraq indicates that America is reducing its military presence in Iraq.

The retreat of the United States out of the al-Qa’im military base means the cessation of the presence of American forces along the Iraq-Syrian border.

That border entry was used to safely transfer ISIS and Al Qaeda fighters between the two countries.

The base was created on the ruins of the oldest railway station in Iraq near the small town of al-Qaim along the Euphrates.

The area was occupied by ISIS fighters in 2014 and was liberated by Iraqi forces in 2017 as a final target.

It is reported that the United States has 14 military bases in Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan, the main of which are At-Taji, Victoria, K1, Al-Kiyara, Al-Balad, Al -Habania and Erbil.

Bullion Demand SURGES, Mostly Cleaning Out Dealer Inventories

There will be many people who look at gold and silver prices and assume lots of gold bugs are selling. They couldn’t be more wrong.

The disconnect between paper prices for precious metals and demand in the bullion markets has never been clearer. Nervous investors are frantically buying coins, rounds, and bars. Dealer shelves quickly emptied of more popular products and delays are now being quoted on many products – especially in silver.

The U.S. Mint stopped accepting orders temporarily for the silver American Eagle, Investors have coped with bottlenecks at the U.S. Mint before, but it has been a few years. The truth is that the production capacity for fabricated silver and gold products has always been too small to cope with massive demand surges.

Buying demand for physical gold and silver during the past week was unprecedented, and it is becoming almost unmanageable.

Dealer shelves are suddenly looking a lot like the bottled water section at Costco.

In a sense, we are seeing a perfect storm of events driving demand:

Silver spot prices dropped over $4.00 per ounce in recent days, and gold lost about $175/oz. The largest drops came during the last three trading days. Bargain hunters have been out in droves.

Many bullion investors focused on making preparations for the coronavirus and added to their metal stacks.

The turmoil in equity markets is driving massive interest in physical metal as a safe haven.

The Federal Reserve announced a multi-trillion dollar repo and bond purchasing program – and slashed short term rates to zero. Plenty of metal investors wonder if the wheels are finally coming off as the Fed quintuples down on what is obviously a failed policy; print oceans of money and hand it out to Wall Street banks.

To cap it off, news of the U.S. Mint suspending sales of the silver American Eagle spread through the market Friday. Lots of people rushed to get their hands on available stocks.

Demand for silver has been particularly heated. The gold/silver ratio, the gold price divided by the silver price, has surged to an all-time high of 115 to 1.

Like all preparations, buying physical gold and silver is best done when markets are quiet and prices are low. The past few years were characterized by low premiums and plentiful inventory. Mints and refiners had excess capacity and some – including Elemetal and Republic Metals – are now gone.

Last week, that all changed. Premiums, both bid and ask, spiked on silver products and gold is likely not be too far behind. Investors trying to take advantage of the low silver prices may find they are instead paying a price similar, or even higher, for Silver Eagles than they would have a week ago, despite the $3.00 decline in the underlying spot price.

Order volume on Friday and through to today has been well more than five times our typical activity – something we have not seen before. Mints and refiners will not be able to keep up with anywhere near that level of demand. However, Money Metals’ relationships with suppliers is among the strongest in the industry.

According to Israel Hayom, “in the next few days, the Mossad will facilitate the delivery of 4 million additional kits”, with agency director Yossi Cohen “said to be personally overseeing the operation”.

The reports added that Mossad’s “cyber staff is currently assisting the Ministry of Health in writing unique software and applications for dealing with the virus”.

“This is an unusual event, in which all the intelligence and security agencies of the State of Israel are mobilising to assist efforts to curb the spread of the virus,” Israel Hayom added.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that he wants Israeli labs to “reach 5,000 daily tests as part of the efforts to defeat the coronavirus outbreak”, the report noted.

Yetserday, meanwhile, “following reports that the medical teams nationwide are running dangerously low on protective gear”, the country’s Defence Minister Naftali Bennett ordered the ministry’s Procurement Administration to purchase all necessary supplies overseas.

As of this morning, according to official data, 529 Israelis have tested positive for COVID-19, with six patients considered to be in a serious condition.

The US coronavirus mortality rate dropped to 1.4% today using deaths (161) divided by confirmed cases (11,329).

That number is actually SIGNIFICANTLY lower if you factor in ALL OF THE CASES that are not being reported, where people are not feeling sick enough to be tested.

That number could be 6-7 times higher than the current number of 11,329.

The estimates based on current data are completely inaccurate. Current data shows that this virus is much less deadly that even the common flu from the 2019-2020 season.

Ghebreyesus claimed the mortality rate of the coronavirus was 3.4%. This caused a GLOBAL ECONOMIC PANIC!

The controversial Ethiopian politician and Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, claimed in a press conference in early March that the fatality rate for the coronavirus was many multiples that of the fatality rate of the common flu.

This egregiously false premise has led to the greatest economic panic in world history.

The Director General of the WHO spoke on March 3, 2020 and shared this related to the coronavirus:

Large Explosion Rocks Turkish-Occupied City In Syria’s Aleppo

On March 19, a large explosion rocked the Turkish-occupied city of Azaz in the northern countryside of Syria’s Aleppo. Local sources said an explosive-laden car exploded in the city’s western district, near the local council.

According to the Step News Agency, two people were killed and many others, including children, were injured in the car bomb attack. Several activists released videos showing the aftermath of the explosion.

There was no immediate claim for the attack. However, opposition activists said Kurdish forces, ISIS or even the Syrian intelligence may have been behind it.

Car bomb attacks are nothing new to Turkish-occupied areas in the northern and northeastern parts of Syria. In the last few months, dozens of people, including militants and Turkish soldiers, were killed in such attacks.

In spite of this, Turkey is yet to take any serious measure to improve security in these areas. The local law enforcement body, the Free Syrian Police, is not only dysfunctional, but also infamous for its corruption.
