Why would Nancy Pelosi publicly make a statement urging the president to take dictatorial powers? Why would Ilhan Omar publicly praise Trump for his efforts on the virus ? Why would Trump speak publicly about hesitating to assume dictatorial powers only "to be used as a last resort"?

If Trump assumed power himself, he would look like an absolute dictator, but if powerful figures on the left praised him and urged him to assume those powers "immediately" while he resisted, the leftist base could NOT call him a dictator because their leader (Pelosi) wanted him to do it.
