My interpretation is she's saying this is going to be very dificult (inverted ease), but she remains loyal (inverted treason) to whomever the Kind of Hearts signifies (presumably "David"). She is looking for more information about the bad news going on (seeking the 4 of Hearts).
References "David" regarding the inverted 5 of Spades, he's probably who she's staying loyal to.
