Prison barge named "Vernon C. Bain" was docked at NYC - taken out of service and departed from there - a similar but not identical barge was spotted later in Moorehead City, NY - Anons did point by point comparison with photos. Prob in my general research folder somewhere. Couldn't find it yesterday when the same question was asked.

I'm the one that did the photographic comparison and proved the NC barge sighting was NOT the Vernon C. Bain. It had very different equipment abovedecks.

Reprise dig on prison barges part 2 of 2.

 

Pics 1-2-3 are my annotations comparing the prison barge that an anon sighted in NC versus the Vernon C. Bain. I concluded they are not the same prison barge.

Nevertheless it is still very INTERDASTING that prison barges were seen and moved and relocated, and if anons ever happen to spot another one you can be sure we will be all over it.
