‘Countries Work Together’: US Air Force Transports Coronavirus Testing Kits From Italy

The US Air Force has started transporting COVID-19 testing kits via cargo planes from Europe to the US at the request of the US Department of Health and Human Services.

According to Pentagon spokesperson Jonathan Hoffman, swabs used for coronavirus testing, specifically known as nasopharyngeal swabs, were recently picked up from Italy and will be distributed to medical facilities across the US.

Defense One first reported Wednesday that the Air Force transported 500,000 testing kits from Italy to Memphis, Tennessee, on Monday, using a C-17 Globemaster III cargo plane.

"They're used to test patients, and then they go to a lab that has the right equipment to analyze the swabs and see if there's coronavirus on the swab or not," noted Air Force Brig. Gen. Dr. Paul Friedrichs, the Joint Staff surgeon, Military.com reported. “We're working with international partners to meet our full demand going forward on this, and this is a good news story of how countries work together."

Friedrichs added that both the US and Italy are trying to increase the supply of such swabs, which are produced using synthetic fiber and plastic shafts.

An unidentified defense official confirmed to Military.com that the US is planning additional missions to get supplies from Italy.

"There are future missions planned, again flying from Aviano Air Base [in Italy] to Memphis, for further distribution across the country by FedEx," the official said.

The Pentagon announced Wednesday morning that the US military has 89 confirmed cases of the coronavirus. Of those cases, 49 involve active-duty service members, 19 involve family members, 14 involve civilians, and seven involve contract employees. Fourteen out of the 89 patients have been hospitalized.

During a briefing Tuesday, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein said that even though the number of infections among US service members is low, the military is still taking the disease “very seriously,” adding that the movement of testing kits and supplies has not yet been interrupted. Air Force Surgeon General Lt. Gen. Dorothy Hogg said during the same briefing Tuesday that the service expects “our cases will increase, just like they are in the general public.”

How Convenient. FBI Shuts Down FOIA Operation Until At Least March 30 Over Coronavirus Panic

FBI Director Christopher Wray

How convenient.

The FBI on Thursday shut down its Freedom of Information Act [FOIA] operation through at least the end of March in response to the Coronavirus panic.

The FBI is already slow-rolling the release of Spygate docs requested by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.

Judicial Watch boss Tom Fitton said this benefits the Deep State coup plotters.

“FBI Shuts Down FOIA Operation Until At Least March 30 Due To #Coronavirus. Who benefits? Ohr, Strzok, Page, Comey, McCabe, Obama, Hillary Clinton, etc. Who loses? Americans who want accountable government under law,” Tom Fitton said.

Judicial Watch has filed countless FOIA lawsuits against the FBI requesting communications between FBI lovers Lisa Page and Peter Strzok.

“The FBI has been slow rolling the release of Page-Strzok communications and is still hiding all their infamous text messages,” Fitton said last summer after the FBI said it would take over two years to produce the requested documents.

The FBI is only producing 500 pages of documents a month (out of 20,000 pages) on Lisa Page and Peter Strzok which Tom Fitton said is “absolutely absurd.”

The watchdog group has also sued for documents related to Spygate involving fired FBI Director James Comey and his partner-in-crime Andrew McCabe.

‘I Don’t Have Time To Listen To Bullsh*t’: Former FEMA Chief Storms Off During Live MSNBC Hit

Former Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Chief Craig Fugate cursed and stormed off during a live interview Thursday with MSNBC’s Katy Tur about how the federal government should be involved in the novel coronavirus response.

Fugate was joined by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’s former acting administrator Andy Slavitt, who served under former President Barack Obama. Slavitt said there should be more federal involvement, and Fugate suggested they need to “get out of the way” and get local governors funding.

“What your other guest is suggesting here is not helpful,” Slavitt said, causing Fugate’s outburst. “We need a great partnership between the federal and state government.”

“I don’t have time to listen to bullshit, people,” Fugate muttered as he ripped off his earpiece and stormed off. Tur tried to get him back onto the show, but he did not return.

All three tweeted about the incident after the segment on “MSNBC Live with Katy Tur” aired, beginning with Fugate, who apologized for his outburst.

“Dear @MSNBC, @KatyTurNBC At the point I’m not helping, time to step back. Never was good at the talking head thing anyway. This is too critical of a time to let emotions get in the way. My apologies to you and your audience,” Fugate tweeted.

Slavitt then replied and apologized to Fugate “for contributing this.” He praised the former FEMA chief as “a terrific public servant” and urged him to “keep informing people as you do.”

Tur rounded out the Twitter make-up session, telling Fugate that there were “no apologies necessary.” She added in a separate tweet that the network hopes “to have him back.”
