Good thought. There has been a lot of social shaming used against people who might rightly wonder about the infiltration of our country with people who are willing or unwilling agents of foreign bad actors.
I find Trump's use of the term "Chinese virus" very interesting in that regard. How often are we told that a virus originated in China? We are constantly given to understand that viruses often jump from animals to people in China. This is similar to the (racist?) and naive idea that AIDS came to infect humans from the use of "bush meat" in Africa.
By openly saying "Chinese virus" Trump might be permanently closing off the avenue of introducing engineered diseases into the public mindset via the naive concept of animal to human viral spread. I think we can all reasonably hypothesize that food procurement which has gone on for centuries isn't likely to introduce novel human plagues without "help". Maybe Trump is starting to blow "their" cover on this.
