Just talked with a friend who works for one of the two N95 mask makers in the US. 3M is one, but he's with the other out of Richmond, VA. They're getting totally flooded with orders and were ramping up orders back in January. Still, he said it would be another 3-4 weeks before the masks start catching up with the orders anywhere near what the demand is currently. Not sure how accurate or helpful that is but he's a senior salesman and that's one of his products.

fucking fascinating.

Closures, travel restrictions, and self-isolation measures due to the new coronavirus have cleared public squares, roads, and travel destinations across the globe. Places built to accommodate thousands have become virtual ghost towns, as tourists and locals remain at home. Photographers in France, India, the U.S., Italy, China, Australia, and more have been capturing the eerie stillness of these public spaces, recently emptied of the crowds they were built for.
