LAPD officials said in a statement that a “senior staffer exhibited flu-like symptoms last week and is resting at home.”
The staffer was expected to make a full recovery, officials said.
The staffer’s work areas at the 77th Station in South Los Angeles were being disinfected. Officials said the cleaning would be completed by the end of the day Thursday.

The state Capitol building is closed following news that state Sen. Clarence Nishihara tested positive Thursday for coronavirus.
It’s the first confirmed case of coronavirus linked to the state Capitol building.
Nishihara, a Democrat who is in his 70s, is in his fourth term. He represents Waipahu, Pearl City and Pacific Palisades
