No, Gov. Doug Ducey and GOP lawmakers SHOULD NOT be shot, and saying so is stupid

A prominent Arizona political commentator this week offered this analysis of Gov. Doug Ducey and the state Legislature:

“They should be shot.”

Democrat Chris Herstam said it on Wednesday on KAET’s Horizon. Then he said again on Thursday, in a tweet – one replying to a question I posed to a legislator about why she opposes moving to an all-mail ballot this year.

Herstam, as you’ve likely gathered, supports an all-mail election. He has confirmed to me that he does not support political assassination.

Which is a relief, of course, but not a terribly good excuse for going there rhetorically.

On Friday, Herstam apologized for his comments, as he should.

The Mirror has put his column on a brief hiatus. As it should.

Richard Burr, Who Has Not Resigned, Wants the Senate Ethics Committee to Investigate His Shady-Ass Stock Sale

Two weeks before Senator Richard Burr warned a roomful of wealthy donors of the dire threat posed by the coronavirus pandemic, the head of the Senate Intelligence Committee sold off $1.7 million of his stock portfolio, ProPublica first reported

As head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, however, Burr was receiving daily briefings on the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, which, at the least, creates the appearance that his choices were guided by his insider knowledge—a criminal offense.

Plenty of Democrats quickly demanded his resignation. Fox News personality Tucker Carlson did so, too.

absolutely detest those cartoon characters. I've always thought the diseased minds who draw them do so to influence a human's opinion of other humans.
