I was on the magical

Chloroquine

for a couple months not that long ago but not for corona.

I was taking it for joint pain caused by Lyme disease and also combat the malaria cousin, babesiosis. I have been on over 100 prescription drugs in the last 7 years so I have lots of experience with side effects. Every drug has a side effect. The good news with this drug is that in the short-term, it had almost no negative effects on me. At the same time it didn't have very much positive either so I dropped it.

Near the end of taking it, I started having issues with focusing my eyes in dark situations. Long term use supposedly negatively affects the eyes and requires frequent eye exams, maybe every month or 2 according to my Dr.

Just a heads up to you guys out there, if you are thinking about taking this drug as a preventative, watch out for long term effects.
