Nobody wants to contribute to a sick world, either. Once the destroyers take a hold of the reigns of earth, the only reasonable things for creators to do is to eliminate them quickly. Tough decisions made early can lead to long-term benefit. Delaying tough decisions due to capitulation will lead to long-term suffering.
This is why some form of proving system needs to be in place to appoint someone to a position of authority over others. The military does this well and, well… Look who had to step up to cure the disease of communism that infested our land.
This reversal is unique in history in that it's not people against people, it's the people vs the destroyers. I wonder if this has ever happened in history and I doubt it has since, as far as can be ascertained, the internet has never existed on Earth. But then, maybe it has.
