Maybe it just means that aside from the sun, the nearest other sun is Alpha Centauri, 4 light years away. And with conventional understandings of traveling technology, that's a hell of a long way.

I've suggested USPS should be pared back to ever-other-day delivery. They run 6 days a week, but some ppl are delivered MWF and the others TThSat . Could cut way down on staff and vehicles that way.
Why do we need immediate delivery? There's Fedex if you need that, or email. We need USPS to provide a reliable delivery backstop, that's all.
