Army Is Spending Half a Billion to Train Soldiers to Fight Underground

U.S. Army leaders say the next war will be fought in mega-cities, but the service has embarked on an ambitious effort to prepare most of its combat brigades to fight, not inside, but beneath them.

Late last year, the Army launched an accelerated effort that funnels some $572 million into training and equipping 26 of its 31 active combat brigades to fight in large-scale subterranean facilities that exist beneath dense urban areas around the world.

For this new type of warfare, infantry units will need to know how to effectively navigate, communicate, breach heavy obstacles and attack enemy forces in underground mazes ranging from confined corridors to tunnels as wide as residential streets. Soldiers will need new equipment and training to operate in conditions such as complete darkness, bad air and lack of cover from enemy fire in areas that challenge standard Army communications equipment.

Army Orders All Medical Units to Prepare for Possible Response to Virus Outbreak

The Army's chief of Staff said Friday that the service has asked every medical unit to assess their capabilities in the event that they are needed to respond to areas hit hard by the potentially deadly novel coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this week, the Army gave two combat support hospitals (CSH) – one at Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Washington, and the other at Fort Campbell, Kentucky – a "prepare to deploy order" as the U.S. government wrestles with how best to help communities if the spread of COVID-19 intensifies, Gen. James McConville told reporters at the Pentagon.

He said the Army has also given a "warning order to all our Role 3 hospitals," facilities staffed and equipped to provide care to all categories of patients, to include resuscitation, initial wound surgery, specialty surgery and post-operative care.

"Every [medical] unit in the United States Army has been told to take a look at their capabilities and capacity so they can come back to us," he added.

Thousands of French citizens ignore quarantine as cops issue nearly 39,000 citations for violating lockdown

French law enforcers have slapped fines on tens of thousands of uncooperative citizens, less than a week after the government introduced restrictions on non-essential travel and business in an effort to combat Covid-19.

The Ministry of Interior disclosed on Saturday that police across the country had carried out 867,695 inspections to ensure that people using transport or participating in other restricted activities had good reason to do so. As a result, cops reported some 38,994 instances of non-compliance resulting in fines between Tuesday and Friday. French authorities have also warned that they will become stricter with enforcement going forward.

Some of the fines were reportedly issued to homeless people in Paris, Lyon and Bayonne, according to an advocacy group for the disadvantaged. However, the group did not disclose how many people living on the streets have been penalized for violating the lockdown.

Taiwan Says It Warned WHO About Coronavirus In December, But Its Warnings Were Ignored

Taiwan is blaming the World Health Organization’s relationship with China for its failure to act on early warnings of human-to-human transmission of coronavirus.

Taiwanese health officials alerted WHO of the infectivity of coronavirus in late December 2019, but the organization failed to report the claims to other countries, according to a Financial Times report.

Weeks after receiving Taiwan’s warning, on Jan. 14, WHO repeated China’s claim that coronavirus was not contagious among humans.

The WHO is nothing but a globalist front for communism, which is why it’s protecting China from coronavirus responsibility

For weeks after it became apparent that the Chinese government did not have a handle on the outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus, the World Health Organization said little to nothing about COVID-19 as it spread beyond Beijing’s control.

Well, that’s not entirely accurate; the organization’s leaders said little to nothing negative about China’s inability to contain the virus.

As Natural News has reported, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has consistently downplayed the crisis in terms of both its severity and impact. The priority instead is one of propping up the all is well narrative to maintain business as usual, especially in communist China, where critical data is also being covered up to perpetuate the illusion that the situation is fully under control.

Before Tedros finally declared the coronavirus outbreak a “pandemic,” he lectured people who attempted to tie it back to China and to impose travel and trade restrictions on the country despite the fact that it indeed originated there. Pathetic.

But why? What is it about Communist China that WHO seeks to protect?

US successfully tests hypersonic missile in bid to catch up with China and Russia

Such weapons travel much faster than current ones, can switch direction in flight and are unpredictable, making them much harder to track and intercept

Moscow claimed to have operable hypersonic weapon in December, while Beijing has displayed its DF-17 hypersonic glide vehicle

The United States announced Friday it has successfully tested an unarmed prototype of a hypersonic missile, a nuclear-capable weapon that could accelerate the arms race between superpowers.

The Pentagon said a test glide vehicle flew at hypersonic speeds – more than five times the speed of sound, or Mach 5 – to a designated impact point.

The test followed the first joint US Army and Navy flight experiment in October 2017, when the prototype missile demonstrated it could glide in the direction of a target at hypersonic speed.

“Today we validated our design and are now ready to move to the next phase towards fielding a hypersonic strike capability,” Vice-Admiral Johnny Wolfe said in a statement.

Professors worried students will share lectures with 'right wing sites

Professors across the country are expressing concern over courses being moved online as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

One professor expressed concern that "right wing sites" could expose what is being taught in college courses.

Professors across the country are taking to social media to express their concern over being forced to deliver their course lectures online amid the coronavirus outbreak, sharing with each other tips on how to limit the number of people who are able to see what they're teaching students, and criticizing "right wing sites" and even Campus Reform, specifically.

Texas Christian University Associate Professor of Political Science Emily Farris tweeted Thursday, "if you are recording a lecture on anything controversial, be prepared for right wing sites to ask students to share it." Campus Reform reached out to Farris via Twitter Direct Messaging to allow her the opportunity to further explain her comments or to clarify. She later blocked the author of this article on Twitter.
