I would still run the post office 6 days a week. The facilities and vehicles would always be there and could open Sunday too.
I don't see the loss of national security associated with this proposal. And while you may want to hang onto your federal paycheck, downsizing government is often a good thing. We do need to cut the federal payroll and federal benefits system.
