Sorry guys but I fucking love Amazon. I use it almost exclusively. I just ordered a book that no one else even has available, coming in Monday. I use Audible all the time. There is no close competitor.

Whether you like it or not, Amazon is the definition of capitalism. They take advantage of whatever loopholes possible, offer products and services that meet demand, and they profit because of it. As far as being evil or whatever, corporations are not evil or good. They are profit-focused.

Thinking a corporation is evil because it's selling you out is literally communism. Welcome to fucking China. OF COURSE THEY ARE SELLING YOU OUT. They don't give a flying fuck about you, why should they? And I don't give a flying fuck about them. That's the beauty of capitalism. We don't have to care about each other to live well. Pick a niche, monopolize it as best you can, profit, and expand.

Study some damn Peter Thiel.

Ok but that has NOTHING to do with Amazon it any specific company. That's a regulatory and enforcement question. Which is dangerous, as evidenced by the fact that Trump has been anti-regulation hard core. Demonize who you will, but regulate sparingly.

Communism is inevitable if you look at it that way.

Corporations want to monopolize what they can. What keeps them in check is market demand. Regulations are a dangerous way to manipulate markets. Taking all that as given, how would you solve the problem of monopolization?

Capitalism is capitalism. In a free market, proprietors will utilize any and all resources that will raise profit, INCLUDING MONOPOLIZATION, MARKET MANIPULATION, and REGULATORY LOOPHOLES.

THAT IS CAPITALISM.

I'm sorry, but that's it. The whole story. So what you guys are saying is that you don't want free market capitalism. Fine, but that's going to cost you in price, efficiency, and ease of use. You'll get higher priced products, slower shipping, and shittier usability.

That's the problem with reality. I didn't make up the rules.
