I’ve been watching the CV task force of today and prior ones, and I think I see a pattern with the VP
I was quite put off by VP Pence contradicting POTUS today. The president said the ventilators have never been in so big of demand and it is a highly computerised machinery. He also said to produce this many is unheard of! In other words no country had this high demand and need and it wasn’t so simple to mass produce.
Pence got up and says it was not that complicated and they could produce a lot of them. I was actually shocked he says directly after POTUS talked.
In all meetings, I noticed that POTUS is always listening closely when Pence is speaking. As if he is on guard.
And no offence to Pence, if he thought he was correcting an understanding, but I thought it was highly inappropriate to state the exact opposite of what POTUS said.
Pence could have toned it down? But he didn’t.
Obama and all prior presidents would have been pissed if the VP did this but he didn’t show any emotion.
So I’m glad Pence is leading the task force, but I’m not pleased with what o saw today.
