Cheating Scum’: Ex-Staffers Blast Bloomberg For Mass Layoffs, Changing Job Security Position

What did they expect? Bloomberg probably made this decision when he found out his staff was grifting him

Ex-campaign staffers are blasting Michael Bloomberg for reversing his position that his campaign would offer competitive salaries and benefits until the November election, regardless of whether the former mayor became the Democratic presidential nominee.

The New York Times reports that the campaign has since decided to shut down operations, send $18 million to the Democratic National Committee, and instruct the more than 1,500 recently fired employees to apply to the DNC for new jobs.

The now-defunct Bloomberg campaign has also instructed ex-staffers they will be “fed into a competitive hiring process,” and are not guaranteed a job, reports the news agency.

“I’m so sorry I worked for this guy. I thought he was totally different,” said former field organizer Jane Conrad, who the news agency reports was recruited to the campaign. “He took me out of my job for his own gain.”

About a dozen other ex-staffers told the Times that they were drawn to the Bloomberg campaign because of the job security and benefits, and were scared to speak out publicly because they were temporarily still on his payroll.

Politico reports on another ex-staffer, who also requested anonymity and blasted Bloomberg for firing them during a national emergency: “He has left us with no health insurance during this pandemic. I have a family and do not know what we will do at the end of the month.”

Amol Jethwani, another former staffer, remarked on Twitter that while he was “disappointed” Bloomberg “had just fired his whole campaign staff,” he was “not surprised that a billionaire is cheating scum,” reports the news agency.

The Bloomberg campaign assured field organizers during the hiring process that they could expect $6,000 a month, an array of benefits, and employment until the general election, Politico reported.

An unsigned Bloomberg campaign memo obtained by the Times explains the change in plans and new decision to terminate the campaign apparatus.

“While we considered creating our own independent entity to support the nominee and hold the president accountable, this race is too important to have many competing groups with good intentions but that are not coordinated and united in strategy and execution,” said the memo.

The decision comes as new financial disclosures for the Bloomberg campaign show that the businessman’s 100-day presidential bid cost more money than has been previously reported.

Ex-CBS Reporter Sharyl Attkisson Demands New York Times Correct ‘False And Defamatory’ Article

Media is still trying to destroy alternative media sources. Yep we are the news now

Through a combination of discrete statements of fact, the defamatory headline, and the juxtaposition of defamatory statements concerning a small group of individuals with whom you have lumped Ms. Attkisson, the article conveys the false and defamatory gist that my client, among other things, lied to her readers and listeners, reported as fact lies that endanger the lives of the public, and otherwise violated the litany of ethical standards by which responsible journalists conduct themselves,” Wilson wrote.

Wilson then outlines 10 examples from the Times article that were false and defamatory toward Attkisson:

The false and defamatory headline, “From Jerry Falwell Jr to Dr. Drew: 5 Coronavirus Doubters.”

“While public health experts warn people to take precautions, these popular media figures insist that the virus is overhyped.”

“Misinformation about the coronavirus continues to circulate across swaths of the American media – on popular podcasts, in blog podcasts, in blog posts, in online videos and on prime-time cable news shows – as recently as this week.”

“Some are conservatives who insist the virus is being hyped for political purposes.”

“Even as President Trump and the federal government’s top public health officials warn that the virus is not something to be taken lightly – and the authorities reported more coronavirus deaths in the United States on Wednesday – these commentators make misleading comments, cherry-pick facts and go so far as to claim that the virus could be a hoax or a North Korean Plot.”

“One of Mr. Hannity’s top sources [Ms. Attkisson] selectively picks facts.”

“In the past, she [Ms. Attkisson] has promoted the debunked theory that vaccines cause autism.”

“The facts she has chosen recently to highlight falsely leave the impression that the deaths are not all that significant in number and largely contained to one facility.”

“‘Look at those 30-some-odd deaths – most of them were from Washington State,’ Ms. Attkisson said last week on her podcast, adding that most of those were in an assisted-living facility. ‘The vast majority of those who passed away were from one cluster in the United States – almost none anywhere else.’”

“And yet visitors to Ms. Attkisson’s website this week might have come away confused about the severity of the virus, as there were several ads for high-grade protective masks.”

As Attkisson’s attorney noted, the Times did not always specifically state how the investigative reporter dismissed the coronavirus, instead lumping her in with four other individuals and claiming things like “these popular media figures insist that the virus is overhyped.” Wilson also took issue with the claims directly written about Attkisson.

Mark Zuckerberg talks coronavirus with Anthony Fauci on Facebook Live

POTUS should this guys press exposure, he’s a attention whore! He shut down everything in America for a blip. He’s hyping panic and lying in this interview

America’s coronavirus expert had a choice to make: Stand beside President Trump at a White House briefing or take questions from billionaire techie Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook.

Dr. Anthony Fauci picked the Facebook gig.

Fauci and Zuckerberg had a 37-minute Facebook Live conversation Thursday about the fast-spreading infection, which is forcing tens of millions of Americans to stay off the job and in their homes.

Fauci, who leads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told Zuckerberg that any vaccine would need to be tested on hundreds — possibly thousands — of people before it could be brought to market.

So far, 45 people have been given a vaccine in the first phase of its testing.

“At the fastest we can go, it’s going to take a year and a half to know if we have a vaccine that we can use,” Fauci told the Facebook CEO.

Later, Fauci cautioned: “This would not be the first time, if it happened, that a vaccine that looked good in initial safety [testing] actually made people worse.”

On Friday, Trump and Fauci sparred over whether an anti-malarial drug would be effective in treating coronavirus. The president called the drug a “game-changer” and Fauci called for more testing.

During the Facebook Live town hall, Fauci stressed that the US is still in the “escalation phase” of the virus, which spreads “too efficiently.”

The native New Yorker told Zuckerberg that he hopes social distancing will stymie the virus, much the way it did with the related virus that causes Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.

“What I certainly would like to see is what happened with SARS,” Fauci said. “When public health measures essentially suppressed it, it disappeared and never came back.”

Army employee fired for insensitive post about coronavirus outbreak

this is stupid, what do they want weak and sensitive warriors. I thought his answer was funny. Muh racism

Army officials fired a social media manager on Saturday for an Instagram post related to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak that critics — including at least one member on Congress — blasted as offensive and racist.

The post, part of a series of questions and answers on the virus, was up on the Army’s official social media account for several hours before being deleted.

Under the posted question “why did a man eat a bat,” Army officials wrote “it wasn’t because he was thirsty” with a picture of a man shrugging

The comment appears to reference rumors that the coronavirus originated from someone eating a bat in China, an assertion that scientists have not confirmed. But the idea has provided fodder for culturally insensitive jokes and ethic blaming for the fast-moving illness, which has already killed nearly 13,000 people worldwide (more than 200 in the United States).

Researchers continue to find coronavirus infections like the strains that cause disease in humans in a range of bats, including the horseshoe bat drawn here in 1886. (Image from page 107 of

Even after the Army post was deleted, it continued to draw condemnation from veterans groups and military advocates on social media for its insensitivity.

“This is simply unacceptable,” Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill. and an Iraq War veteran, wrote on Twitter in response to the post. “We do not know how COVID19 first infected humans but racism has no place in our Armed Forces.”
