OK, need planefags.

This is from a friend in Janesville, Wisconsin. It began Sunday, March 15, 2020 at about 8:10pm CST. It happened again last night, March 20, 2020 about 8:10pm CST. There are dozens of planes flying over heading South East in direction. They don't have any lights except for one on the front. A friend in Madison, an hour away to the West, also saw them or a similar formation. All are prop planes. My friend's daughter put a flight tracker app on her phone and looked at the time this was happening and there were no aircraft showing. Private planes don't have to file a flight plan, but I doubt those apps go based off a flight plan. I'd think they're more likely to go based on the transponder.

Anyone have a clue what this is? It's highly unusual.
