Yes he was undercover FBI agent for 2 years before joining Trump's campaign. So basically its 1 of 2 things:

1) black hat, planted in Trump campaign, used him to get FISA warrant to spy on Page but ultimately Trump. Plays dumb on his Fox News interviews, and will eventually get arrested

2) white hat. Worked for Trump, and was set up by DNC. But still plays dumb on Fox News interviews…why doesnt he mention he was undercover FBI for 2 years?!
