We have to pierce the mystique and view it logically. It must be the cravings that drive the insanely criminal behavior. It looks like opoid addition and now drug-sickness/withdrawls, which can be fatal if not very carefully managed, legally, by a licensed physician with a DEA#.
Going dry, all alone, basically isolated. Not knowing if you're going to die today, but feeling like it could be soon…the descending dread and doom. With no doc to call who can cure this sickness.
They're are certain breed of cattle, from SW TX who grow healthy on the very poor grasses there. If these cattle were suddenly moved to beautiful green pastures of the Upper Midwest, they would literally die from the excess nutrients.
I can only imagine how tough that must've been.
