Everyone tends to copy Apple nowadays instead of coming up with something truly different. Fucking boring monkeys is what interface designers are. All conforming to some asshats at Apple.
I wish there was some way of changing the icons I now have back to the beautiful ones they used to have in iOS 7 and before.
Yuip. Their Windows 10 (which I thankfully do NOT have - am an XP guy!) absolutely sucks when it comes to finding things easily. The interface is bloody terrible.
That may be so but its not that much extra to have beautiful icons. And you are correct about the computer phoning home. ALL your data gets siphoned off to Microsoft. Talk about being robbed… you pay for the privilege of having that happen to you.

I have Linux Mint 18.3 installed on another partition on my XP laptop. I only use it occasionally as I am too used to XP and OE doesn't work with it and I really dislike any other email programs.
Mind you, I think Knoppix 8.1 is bloody brilliant when it comes to looks. Its desktop has the coolest graphic I have ever seen. I don't have it installed at the moment but I did last year before getting a new HD.
Never EVER updated any clean installations of XP. I turn updates of in the admin area. Never had a problem in nearly 17 years of using XP.
Well, thanks again for the tip. Now if I install it on a customer's machine I will be in the lookout for this behaviour.
The source of the gold is important so as to avoid the curses of Egyptian Gold. If Egyptian gold has been melted down and mingled with gold ore straight from the mines then the negative aspect of the Egyptian gold will imbue the 'New' gold with the curses of the Egyptian gold.
So it is best to go direct to refiners/distributors like Karatbars. They make their Karatbars from the gold they mine from their own mines - mines owned and operated by themselves, not third parties.

I have also discovered why this happens. The Institute of Noetic Sciences is sort of on the right track but they don't yet understand the concepts that were uncovered by a small group of people in the nineties which I read about.
What it boils down to is the fact that ALL matter is intelligent to one degree or another. ALL matter also has Life Force attached to the intelligence. So curses are embeded into matter by the intent of the Human who is doing the embedding - this is usually done through rituals of sound and music. That energy signature/intent/communication goes into the matter and becomes part of the 'purpose' of that matter.
In the case of gold (whose true purpose by the way is to have me), when the gold is melted down the curse that is contained in the gold mingles as energy with the new gold, which is why gold is NOT a very good thing to have unless you know where it is coming from - a pure, pristine source.
Yup. That's why I will NEVER use Windows 10. But lemmings being what they are, they are always yowling for the newest and greatest. Because of them we are in this fucking mess with technology.
