Good post. I knew that Smith-Mundt allowed for domestic funding and distribution of fake stories (propaganda), but never made the connection that it was actually the "enabling legislation" for school shootings.

I imagine she is getting a lot of spam already. A public voice is needed. A TV voice is most likely to reach normies.
I think that would be counterproductive, to try to "take it back." It has been imbued with other meanings that are much less positive, and changing the public view of this symbol would be a steep uphill, unproductive, battle. I would say AVOID use of this symbol except where appropriate for explanations.
