The way I see this Cloud Act (for now) is that with the sharing (and proper controls) several KEY government agencies may be up for much needed revision. This may start elimination of agencies like CIA and FBI and roll them into another version of NSA. From my perspective, the DOJ would still be necessary from an international and domestic prosecution perspective but if open SHARING of data occurs with Cloud Act, then the more redundant and corruptible agencies (read CIA FBI going off-mission) may more easily be eliminated. Hopefully some other tech we have (like Thinthread) may be brought in to protect privacy along with the FISA reform that is currently in DOJ crosshairs.
