Wife anon works in a field of medicine that provides people with care in their homes. Wifeanon's company had their "every-so-often" meeting with their head doctor, which also double-dips in a somewhat local ER. Head doctor informed the employees in the local office that they will no longer be reporting into the office until further notice, and have instantiated additional protocols for visiting patients while in hospice care.
According to the Dr., apparently, a family that has a weekend home "in the area", but lives in Florida primarily (likely drove up to bunker down, and get away from Florida), have all been diagnosed (based on symptoms) with COVID-19. Note that I said diagnosed based on symptoms (similar to a very sudden and severe onset of pneumonia). The real kicker of the story was they were not allowed to use test kits on them because the hospital only had 4 of them.
>Spock eyebrow. Why not test these 4 to confirm?
I'm not a huge fan of the excessive fear-mongering that's going on, and have encouraged everyone in my personal network (and on twitter) to practice what the CDC is advising (just like @POTUS); and to remain calm. Sharing every single mother fucking horror story from your sister's uncle's cousin's ex-roomate's employer's fuck-buddy's pimp is entirely and completely unnecessary, and does no one any good.
However, the intent of this post is to "put it out there" for awareness; and people reading this post, that can relate to "those slow-driving assholes with Florida plates", probably have a really good idea of where I'm talking about. The locals in this area have been carrying on, if more cautiously, with life as normal - minus the fact that every church in the area (which there are tons of) has closed services for the foreseeable future.
Here's a "multiple paths, same destination" summation of what I'm trying to get at:
-
If you believe the virus is going to turn everyone into AIDS zombies and can be spread by merely looking at someone, and generally panicking, do what the CDC says. Keep the fear-mongering to yourself, though.
-
If you believe the virus is real, but there's also a white hat operation going on in conjunction (made posts earlier today about the excessive law enforcement (unmarked cars) in the previous weeks) with this scare event, then do what the CDC says.
-
If you believe the virus is a "hoax" or blown out of proportion, and have noticed that everyone around you is taking precautions, except YOU, then do what the CDC says.
If you are stocking up on things, REMEMBER YOUR ELDERLY in your community, and be ready to lend a helping hand. You won't be on lock down forever. Be there to support and care for those that can't for themselves.
All three of these options lead to your and your loved ones being safe. Whether the virus is real/fake/hyped, or some sort of white hat operation being real/fake/hyped, these steps will lead to you and your loved one's safety and security. When this shit is over, I fully expect patriots to take action (I'd bet they already are) with the full vengeance and wrath of God almighty Himself.
Love and prayers, anons.

P.S.
I swear, the next mother fucker that literally pulls a case of soup off the shelf and puts it in their cart will get a swift kick in the ass from me, too. Yes, I'm talking to you, 400lb anon from Wal-Mart, yesterday. Nobody needs that much fucking Campbell's in a 6-month period. The sodium will take you out before the virus does.
