Anons I suggest you call your mortgage company. I did and followed the prompts and do not have to pay for 90 days. I didn't even talk to a person, and my mortgage company/loan is not a gov backed loan. Towards the end of the 90 days, I can negotiate a payment plan for those 3 months I missed, or I can add them to the end of the loan, or I can refi.

I also negotiated a 30 day waiver on my credit cards today.
