For whatever reason, your comment reminded me of a documentary I saw a promo for on RT when I was at some hotel somewhere. Based on what I saw, it was definitely against blood and plasma donation in the US. Didn't bother to watch the actual program, though. (Would have had to change muh sleep schedule and that is a no go.)
