Massive mystery compound in Cave Creek is a 60,000-square-foot home

 

CAVE CREEK, Ariz. — At least one neighbor thought it was a cult compound.

 

Others apparently thought it might be a car dealership or a huge resort.

 

But it turns out that a piece of land under construction for more than a year is actually a 60,000-square-foot single-family home.

 

According to county and town records, the house sits on 200 acres just to the north of Cave Creek proper.

 

To give you an idea of how big that is, State Farm Stadium in Glendale and all the parking lots around it are only 160 acres.

 

The land is owned by a Delaware corporation, and Delaware does not require the name of the actual owner of corporations, just a registered agent.

 

But 12 News found general plans for Blue Sky Preserver, or at least a version of it, that lays out what crews have been building for more than a year.

 

According to the architect, who posted it on his portfolio, Blue Sky Preserve has a 14,000-square-foot main house, which is actually a renovation of an existing smaller house. It also includes:

 

A 24-car working garage

14,000-square-foot business center

5,000-square-foot arcade

6,500-square-foot spa and gym

7,000-square-foot equestrian center

tennis courts

pool

polo field

helipad

 

The compound also has at least four lakes, which has led neighbors to wonder where the water is coming from and if it will impact their own wells.

 

We're still looking into the water issue and will let you know what we find.

 

So who's behind the Delaware company that owns the house? We don't know. But whoever it is could afford to pay $15 million for the original sale price, plus construction costs for the rest of the compound.

Regional president De Luca made his bizarre threat in a televised message in which he said: 'I'm getting news that some would like to throw graduation parties.

 

'We will send the police over,' he added. 'With flamethrowers.'

 

Cateno De Luca, mayor of Messina, was equally uncompromising. In an impassioned Facebook tirade, he said: 'You will not 'stroll' in my town.

American Woman Rescued in Secretive Military Op, Trump Says

 

President Donald Trump said Sunday that an unspecified military operation had been conducted in a "certain area" overseas to rescue a female U.S. citizen who was being "horribly treated."

 

Details on the operation and where it was conducted were initially being kept "somewhat private," Trump said, but he added that "we got her out and she's OK, and she's back with her parents."

 

At the beginning of a White House news conference on the coronavirus, the president spoke to efforts to bring U.S. citizens home from overseas during the pandemic, and cited cooperation from the governments of Peru and Honduras.

 

"We were able to get a young woman released from a certain area who was being horribly accosted, horribly treated," he then added.

 

Trump said he consulted with Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, who "took care of it. We went in and we got her out, but that was rough stuff."

 

He thanked Milley "and all the people involved and people who went in to get her."

 

In a question-and-answer session at the news conference, Trump was asked for details, but said only that "bad things were happening to her in a certain country," adding that "Gen. Milley does not play games."

 

There was no immediate response from the Pentagon to questions on the operation.
