The man who helped the US Mil locate and free her was Mohammed Odeh al-Rehaief, possibly (probably) a CIA asset. He gets asylum for his good work and immediately takes a lobbying job for Robert Livingston.
Livingston recently emerged as the guy who was calling the NSC and pushing for POTUS to remove Yovanovitch from her post in Ukraine, claiming she was connected to GS. He also attempted to repeal the Boland Amendment back on July 28th, 1983 with HR3694.
