vampires have their truth based somewhere.

>They hunt at night, encouraging children not to stay out after dark

>They are repelled by holy things like crucifixes and holy water, encouraging people to keep blessed items in their homes and on their person

>Vampires have eternal life as long as they drink blood. This is a sort of warped version of the eternal life in the Eucharist. The vampire is sort of the anti-Eucharistic idea of clinging to the materialism of eternal youth gained by drinking the life of this world.

>In Bram Stoker's Dracula, the iconic vampire cuts his own chest and forces his victim, Mina, to drink his blood, and by so doing he makes her more and more like him, and pollutes her salvation. Then when Van Helsing presses the actual Eucharist to her forehead, it burns her. Dracula also flees from the Eucharist when Helsing holds it aloft in another scene.

it is ironic these people live on children whom are so fiercely defended by Christ
